Baduanjin Qigong

This course is a big one with 9 in-depth video sessions as well as written material. The Baduanjin Qigong is among the most popularized Qigong systems with most variations and most of them being no more than some sort of choreography at best.

To qualify and have the name Baduanjin there need to be something for the physical body (including breathing, bones, soft tissue, joints), the mind and the Qi.

There are 8 different positions/movements, and you will learn them one by one. The course also includes Wuji Standing Meditation.

In Baduanjin Qigong, we of course work to move the Qi in the different meridians and in the microcosmic orbit and thereby strengthen our internal organs.

During the course when relevant, you will learn specific acupuncture points to focus on as well as which meridians that are affected by the specific movements.

    • Baduanjin 1 - Supporting the Sky with both hands

    • Baduanjin 2 - Drawing a bow to each side

    • Baduanjin 3 - Alternate raising one hand

    • Baduanjin 4 - Looking back

    • Baduanjin 5 - Lowering the head and hips, the Rhinos and the Deer

    • Baduanjin 6 - Touching the feet with both hands

    • Baduanjin 7 - Clenching the fists - the Lion

    • Baduanjin 8 - Shaking the body ward off all illnesses
